To deny absolute sovereignty to God is to deny that He is God… If man is the determiner of his own destiny, then man has gained thereby an independence from God and the power to prevent God from the exercise of His will and the fulfillment of His plan. God is then reduced at best to the status of a constitutional monarch: He reigns but does not rule.
