Thoughts while in the car today:

  • Mark Driscoll came and preached at MHOC. I “met” him again. I really enjoyed his “Marriage and Men” sermon. I knew this would be his shining point out of the series.
  • He talked about this man at another MH campus. This guy was saved at 14. At 16, he was volunteering and serving at the church and at 18 he was on paid staff. As a teenager he started saving up for his future wife’s wedding ring along with writing and praying for her every day. On his first date, his wife to be at the time, mentioned that she wanted to go to Europe. He started saving up money for the trip and they are going in a few months. At 20, he’s married and nominated to be an elder. It’s amazing. I didn’t even know people like that existed. Crazy awesome how God can use people my age to glorify Him in their youth.
  • I like the hot chocolate at Portola. It’s too pretty to drink!
  • I forget how excited I get about food-> forget people are around me-> become socially awkward. meh 0_o
  • I hungout with my friend today. She met a few of my Christian friends and kept gushing about how kind they were. At first, I didn’t think it was a big deal and said, “Oh, they’re always like that.” Then I realized that I’m used to being treated like a sister in Christ. Girls are so emotionally and verbally abused these days that when people treat them graciously, they view it as abnormal. I take my godly friends for granted. I need to be thankful for the godly community that God has blessed me with.
  • Spurgeon’s Morning/Evening devotionals have helped me tremendously in my walk with the Lord.
  • God is good.
